Not that I'm really thinking about it one way or the other but just wondering how does someone wind up on the featured page? Is it like deviantart and just the most popular/favourited or is there some other factor(s)? Like also on devianart there were suggestions/votes (I believe this was something like a special recognition but I can't remember exactly what it was called), that had a say in it too, not just popularity. ?????

Hello there. Since I haven't understood your question 'exactly-well-enough, I'm gonna assume that you were asking about 'how to get your art featured/frontpaged':
To achieve having your art featured/frontpaged, your art must achieve a 'certain' number of 'views' and 'votes' (which honestly, I don't remember, but I think that it is like around '500 views' and more than '10 votes', perhaps...), and then, it must get chosen by an 'Art Moderator' (any of them) or an 'Admin' (Tom Fulp himself.)
Having achieved that 'couple of conditions', congratulations; your art will be now featured/frontpaged and visible for everybody on the 'main page' of the website for the rest of the day that it got chosen.
